Phreqed is a Calgary-based band performing in the 1970s rock/funk tradition. The band features slap style bass player and song writer Tori Morley known for dynamic live sets and strong collaborative with local performer, songwriter and producer Malcolm Conat who plays drums. Lead Guitar licks are fired up by Jerry Griffifths who is an in demand player on both guitar and drums in the Calgary Scene. Mike Morley handles rythm guitar, additional songwriting and kicks. The band blends melodic hooks, rhythm-heavy arrangements, and experimental textures while staying rooted in bass-forward songwriting. Imagine Frank Zappa's compositional wit, Steely Dan's harmonic sophistication, Max Webster's Canadian eccentricity, Pond's groove, and Geese musicianship, wrapped into modern alternative rock.

Phreqed and Tori's music has landed on multiple radio stations, reached CJSW Top 10 placement, and earned multiple YYC Music Award nominations. Heart Zones marks the official emergence of phreqed, expanding her solo writing into a full-band sound with Malcolm Conat, Jerry Griffiths, and Mike Morley.
